Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Balance. Regulation. Resilience.
Learn to Navigate Intense Emotions with Confidence
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a compassionate, supportive, and validating approach that can help you change the behaviors that create challenges in your life. My goal with DBT is to help you develop new skills so you can get more of what you truly want and need out of life.
DBT can be highly effective if you struggle with intense emotions or impulsive behaviors. Whether you’re dealing with overwhelming feelings, relationship conflicts, or patterns of reacting in ways you later regret, DBT offers practical tools for building a more stable, balanced, and fulfilling life.

Core DBT Skills You'll Learn:
My DBT-informed approach focuses on four essential skill areas:
-
Mindfulness: Increase your awareness of thoughts and feelings in the present moment—without judgment.
-
Emotion Regulation: Understand and manage your emotional responses without feeling overwhelmed or out of control.
-
Distress Tolerance: Develop healthy coping strategies to navigate crisis moments without making things worse.
-
Interpersonal Effectiveness: Strengthen your communication skills, set boundaries, and build healthier relationships.
Together, we’ll work on how to apply these skills not just during therapy sessions, but in your everyday life, so you can move toward greater balance, resilience, and fulfillment.
What is DBT?
DBT combines cognitive-behavioral strategies with mindfulness practices and acceptance techniques. It’s especially helpful if you experience:
-
Intense or rapidly shifting emotions
-
Impulsivity
-
Chronic relationship conflicts
-
Self-harming behaviors
-
Feelings of emptiness, loneliness, or isolation
DBT helps you learn how to experience emotions without becoming overwhelmed—and how to take thoughtful, effective action even in moments of distress.
Who is DBT For?
DBT can be beneficial for individuals struggling with:
-
Emotion dysregulation
-
Borderline personality traits
-
Anxiety and panic attacks
-
Depression
-
Relationship difficulties
-
PTSD and trauma-related symptoms
-
Self-harming behaviors or suicidal thoughts
If you feel stuck in a cycle of emotional reactivity or painful relationships, DBT offers a structured, compassionate path toward change.
