Compassionate, Evidence-Based Therapy
My approach begins with listening—really listening—and developing a non-judgmental understanding of what brings you to therapy at this time in your life. We then work together to clarify your goals, build on what’s already working, and identify the obstacles holding you back from the life you want to live, creating meaningful change, so you can move forward with clarity, strength, and hope.
Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), other mindfulness-based modalities, Exposure and Response Prevention (for OCD) and Prolonged Exposure (for trauma), I offer personalized, evidence-based care rooted in both compassion.
Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, OCD, emotional dysregulation, tinnitus-related distress, or relationship challenges, my goal is to provide you with tools that make a real difference in your everyday life. Sometimes the hardest part is reaching out. A free 20-minute phone consultation can help you decide whether my therapeutic approach is a good fit for your needs.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist based in Tucson, Arizona, with over two decades of experience helping adolescents and adults reduce emotional suffering and lead more fulfilling lives.
I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology/Argosy University in 2003, and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from St. Mary’s University in 1998.
My clinical background includes work in hospitals, community agencies, group practices, and the development of both outpatient and inpatient DBT programs. Today, I provide one-on-one therapy through my private practice—both in person in Tucson and via secure telehealth for clients across multiple states through the Interstate Telehealth Compact.
My Training & Philosophy
Each year, I set aside time for ongoing education to expand my therapeutic skills and remain grounded in best practices. My training includes:
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
-
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
-
Treatment for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (hair-pulling, skin-picking, etc.)
I believe that therapy should be collaborative, practical, and anchored in what matters most to you. Your relationships, routines, values, and life circumstances all inform the work we’ll do together.
